Submitted by Barry Caraway - barrycaraway@hotmail.com ******************************************** Mormon Mills Cemetery Also known as Mormon Cemetery Coordinates: 30*37' 55"N,58*13' 56"W Mormon Mill, Burnet County Texas Location: From Marble Falls, go north on Hwy 281 to county road 340 (Mormon Mills road) - take a right – go down about 4 miles till you see Hamilton Creek. Just before the creek, there is a dirt road to the left - take a left on the dirt road, and follow the road till you see the cemetery on the right. The cemetery is overlooking Hamilton Creek. This cemetery is not being used anymore. It's still in good shape. The Mormons used to come out and clean it. All the tombstones are handmade of red sandstone – the rock wall around the cemetery is made out of the same type of rock. Surveyed: by Barry Caraway in 1996, from tombstones and by my own knowledge. Note: All the Mormons are buried inside the rock wall, and all the non-Mormons -"Gentiles" to the Mormons – are buried outside the rock wall.
