On March 21, 1932, the second tornado in a week hit Stanton and killed seven members of the Jack Latham family. A pit grave was dug large enough - place seven caskets inside. The funeral service was held outside Ebenezer church. Fifty something people were killed that week. One of Jack Latham’s children (Woodard) had passed in 1923 and was already buried there. They have one headstone for all of them.
